Alishan House pointed that the Local Cultural Museum that has been officially listed is able to highlight the historical status of Alishan House. In the future, it will introduce the history of Alishan House, its surrounding attractions, and the presentation of aboriginal tribal culture through the coordination of professional tour guides.

CHIAYI, TAIWAN, May 24, 2018 /WPR2 News/ — With a history of more than 100 years, Alishan House has both historical and geographical resource features. This year, when the Culture & Tourism Bureau of Chiayi County has listed it as “History Museum -1913 Alishan Old Building,” it has become a highest altitude Local Cultural Museum in Taiwan. In the future, it will be integrated with cultural resources to promote it as a local historical culture.

Alishan House was built in 1913 and is now a highest altitude star hotel in Taiwan. It has not only received the heads of countries in the world, but also retained many decade-old historical buildings and artifacts, including the decade-old antique Taiwan Cypress counter, lamps, cafeteria, and large numbers of old photographs. Therefore, it has been successfully granted as “1913 Alishan Old Building” based on its year of construction.

In the future, it will introduce the history of Alishan House, its surrounding attractions, and the presentation of aboriginal tribal culture through the coordination of professional tour guides. The purposes are to pass down the tangible and intangible cultural assets and allow the local people to cross the time tunnel and witness the colorful appearances of Alishan House.

Based on the “Diversified & Friendly Equal Rights – Enhancing the Public to Get Closer to Museum” event organized by the 518 International Council of Museums, it will introduce a two-month seal chops collection activity starting from May 18 to July 18 with the collaboration of 14 cultural museums in Chiayi County. For the public who can collect up to five seal chops at 1913 Alishan Old Building and other cultural museums, they will be exchanged with an exquisite small gift.
